what is rebel love wedding fair?
Rebel Love Wedding Fair was born out of the need for a safe and inclusive space for LGBTQ+ people getting married. As wedding photographers and videographers, we've heard countless horror stories from our Queer clients about their experiences at traditional wedding fairs. From being mistaken for relatives or "best friends getting married on the same day" to being misgendered and facing homophobic micro-aggressions, these stories made it clear that something had to change. We knew we needed to create a safe space for our fellow community.

LGBTQ+ Wedding Fair
our journey
First, we launched Rebel Love Directory, a platform that highlights LGBTQ+ and active ally wedding suppliers. It became a go-to resource for couples and lovers seeking inclusive and supportive vendors for their big day. But we didn’t stop there. We wanted to create an event that would bring this inclusive ethos to life in a vibrant, welcoming environment.
Now, we are thrilled to introduce the first-ever truly inclusive LGBTQ+ wedding fair: Rebel Love Wedding Fair, taking place in Bristol at The Station. This isn’t just another wedding fair; it’s a celebration of love and a chance for couples and lovers to meet vendors who genuinely understand and support their needs.
Rebel Love Wedding Fair is designed for the LGBTQ+ community and anyone who wants to support Queer-owned businesses when planning their wedding. It’s a space where you can feel seen, heard, and respected, and where you can connect with suppliers who are not just tolerant but actively inclusive and welcoming.

Got some questions about the wedding fair?
-
Can I attend if I am in a straight facing relationship?Absolutely! If you identify as Queer/LGBTQIA+ or you are an active ally who wants to provide a safe and inclusive space on your wedding day, you are most certainly welcome in our space.
-
What is the "Accessible Hour" on Eventbrite all about? This is our quiet hour where will be offering out fewer tickets and no live music so we can offer a more calm and accessible hour for anyone who is Disabled, Neurodivergent or just prefers not to be too overwhelmed by music and lots of people.
-
How much are tickets?Tickets start from £3.00 (for the the last half hour of the day) - £5.00 plus Eventbrite fees. 50% of the ticket sales will be donated to an LGBTQ+ charity.
-
Is the venue accessible? The Station has lift access to the first, second and third floors. There are accessible toilets located on each floor. The front of the venue has paved access and on-street parking directly outside of the main entrance (unrestricted with a blue badge). For further info please visit the venues website - https://www.creativeyouthnetwork.org.uk/accessibility-the-station

How do you ensure suppliers are LGBTQ+ inclusive?Whilst we cannot control what suppliers say and do on the day, we have thoroughly investigated the suppliers website/social media platforms to ensure they are fierce and active allies. When checking to see how inclusive a supplier is we check for visible pronouns displayed, diverse LGBTQ+ representation within their social media feed and website and check to see what actions they are taking to show their allyship (such as volunteering at Pride events, donating to LGBTQ+ causes, uplifting LGBTQ+ voices etc.) We also make sure that our suppliers are using gender neutral terms and have moved away from terms like Bride and Groom when referring to general clients as a whole. All suppliers that are part of the Revel Love Directory that are exhibiting have also filled out a lengthy application form. All suppliers attending the Wedding Fair will have also undergone our Supplier Inclusivity Training before hand, to ensure everyone understands the importance of pronouns, gender neutral language and representation.

I've booked a specific time-slot but now I cannot make that time, can I still come?Yes! Of course. We would prefer you to stick to your booked time so we can manage attendance better, but this can be fairly flexible. So, if you find on the day you are running late or something comes up, then please do feel free come later or attend a different time slot. HOWEVER, if you have not booked the Accessible Hour tickets, please do not attend during this time slot as this is a control, quiet hour for those who have accessibility requirements. The time slot system is to allow us to gauge an idea as to when people are planning to attend and to manage quantity of attendees at the venue.
