What do you offer?

I'm a queer, nonbinary celebrant offering playful ceremonies for the seriously in-love, rooted in authenticity and inclusivity. As an award-winning celebrant, I’ll be dedicated to creating a ceremony that brings you joy. A ceremony that enables you to express yourself and have fun, so you can truly enjoy the moment and the company of your chosen guests. I’ll help you reject traditions that don’t fit, and we’ll find or invent ones that feel like home.

A Giddy & Gay ceremony is one where your emotions can run free, and you’re allowed to be your fullest, boldest, loudest selves. No rules, no limits. Just your magnificent love for each other, celebrated authentically. Because when you’re this serious about your person, you deserve a ceremony that’s been crafted just for you – where you can really shout about what they mean to you.

Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?

As a queer and nonbinary person, when I got married in 2024, I definitely found the wedding industry very overwhelming to navigate – so heteronormative and cisnormative! It was a joy and relief to find and work with suppliers who were LGBTQ+ or truly LGBTQ-friendly, who completely understood me and my now-wife and who made us feel seen and embraced. We're not traditional people at all, but neither of us had any clue what a ceremony without all these traditions could look like until we found out about celebrant-led ceremonies and it was an incredible experience to get to put together a ceremony full of things that were actually meaningful to us, with our celebrant's expert support and guidance, instead of just things we thought a wedding was supposed to be. I realised, talking to other LGBTQ+ people who also weren't sure about what to do in their ceremonies, that I wanted to be able to use my skills and experience to create authentic and affirming ceremonies for LGBTQ+ people – ceremonies that genuinely reflect them and their relationships. Ceremonies that are fun, unique, and proudly different.

Allyship

My business is very LGBTQ-forward. It's in the name! I actively advertise it as a queer-owned business, and I promote my services as inclusive and primarily for LGBTQ+ people. On my website, I've included my pronouns prominently. I talk about my own experiences of getting married as an LGBTQ+ person and how that inspired me to start my celebrant business. I have a bit on my Ceremonies page that says, "Not a bride or groom, and not going to be a husband or a wife? I get it!" Because I do – I'm married, but I'm not a husband or a wife. I'm a proud spouse! I ask about your pronouns on my contact form, as well as your accessibility needs.

In August 2025, I teamed up with the incredible photographer Kim Williams Weddings and several other Rebel Love Directory suppliers to offer free vow renewals for trans, nonbinary, and GNC folk, which was an amazing experience.

One of my other jobs is being an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator, where a huge part of my role is looking at LGBTQ+ equality, so I'm actively trying to change things for the better for LGBTQ+ people at my organisation, including organising LGBTQ+ awareness training for staff and creating webpages around LGBTQ+ allyship. I speak up and correct others when I hear them using the wrong pronouns for people I know. As a published author, I write YA novels with diverse casts of LGBTQ+ main characters, and I often speak on panel events about the importance of LGBTQ+ representation.

Please do talk to me if there's anything I can do to help you feel safer and more supported during our ceremony creation process! I'm always open to listening and learning.

don't forget to let me know that you found me on Rebel Love Directory!
