Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?

It's super important to be a loud and proud ally, and although not belonging to the community myself, I am a proud advocate for the community and try to show this wherever I can. As an autistic person, I feel I can relate to a lot of neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ folks in a few different ways, and have always been surrounded by bright, colourful, and unapologetically themselves people.

Allyship

I always pay attention to pronouns, and make a point to always address couples in a neutral way. (You won't find any 'calling all brides' on my pages!). I always speak up when needed to pull people up on language and opinions. I actively try and support lgbtq+ businesses where I can.

I am quite new to the wedding industry, so I am lacking a specifically wedding portfolio! I want to make sure that as this builds, I have a truly representative and diverse portfolio. The best thing about your wedding is making the day scream YOU! So for me, the quirkier and more individual the better. I am actively trying to reach out to LGBTQ+ couples, so I can more accurately represent the communities I want to work with. Fun fact- the first wedding I ever sung at was for an LGBTQ+ couple, but as it was my first one, I was too nervous to take any footage!
