What do you offer?

We offer empathy, love and authenticity and a warm embrace to all. We have decades of experience in creating and delivering ceremonies to all. Ceremonies in Spanish and French are great fun! It means so much to us to include all in an iconic Scottish elopement!

Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community? 

LGBTQ+ people are our people. We were the first women to be married in a legal marriage ceremony in Scotland, and we love to pass on the baton to those coming with us on the journey. We feel we truly embrace all who love each other and want to bring more love into our world. We are PROUD! We believe that we all share our humanity, and our love is a symbol of that.

Allyship

In this challenging world, we are determined to stay visible and proud in the media. We celebrate people, couples and more, who want us to conduct their marriage, civil partnership, (re)naming, and celebrating life.

We founded Celebrate People, an organisation and community, on humanist and spiritual values, where we all embrace inclusivity and equality.

We campaigned for 20+ years for Equal Marriage and continue to do so. The Scottish Parliament say we are 'ordinary people who influenced the law' and our Marriage Certificate is on display there.

We campaigned (and won) for couples to be able to choose "Bride, Groom, Bridegroom or nondesignated" to describe their designation on the legal papers, regardless of their gender.

In our personal lives, we are very visible as a lesbian couple who have 5 children, and we have featured in a BBC programme on YouTube discussing life as an LGBTQ+ family.
