What do you offer?

I photograph weddings and elopements up in Bonnie Scotland, from big colourful days full of sparkle to wild elopements in the highlands, where we drive around in our mobile disco VW van (Disco VanDyke) and run around the hills! I love to show the beauty of Scotland as well as the personalities of my lovely couples.

Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?

I’m a happily married lesbian so very much part of the lgbtq+ community! We are a proud bunch and sometimes it’s nice to share your big day with suppliers who you know are totally rooting for ya!! (Also because gay quite often means glitter and I’m always, always up for more of that)

Allyship

I make it clear in any marketing that I fully support the lgbtq+ community. I have a wee pride badge on my insta page and the very first image on my website is the elopement of 2 beautiful lesbians. I attend Gay Pride every year and post stories on Instagram.

I’m always encouraging people to ask questions, especially when I know they have a wee problem with it! A nice, non-confrontational approach to educating people! I attend Gay Pride whenever possible and try to encourage my straight friends to join in. I try to send out messages of positivity rather than get on the defensive! In my other job (a midwife) I organised for everyone to apply for a pride badge that we all wear on our scrubs and uniforms daily.
