Celebrant
the spiritual celebrant
What do you offer?
If you're looking for meaningful rituals, which you connect with authentically - I've got you. Maybe you have your heart set on a magical handfasting, an intuition-led crystal ritual, or you're not too sure what you want yet... I create a safe, nurturing environment for you to explore different ideas, before helping you to craft your ideal ceremony, filled with symbolic actions and words that you connect with.
I love a cosy elopement, where you can get lost in the landscape, but I also love bigger weddings where the room fills with great energy and laughter - whatever works for you, works for me. Let's get planning ♥
Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?
I want to share the joy and calm that my wife and I experienced on our wedding day. When planning our wedding, it took us a long time to find suppliers that we felt comfortable with, so I love being part of shaping supportive and nurturing experiences for queer people who are planning their weddings today. As a bisexual woman, married to another woman, I have experienced the frustrations of trying to navigate the wedding industry when confronted with traditions, expectations, and mislabelling that should in no way shape or form be part of our experience. I'm here to guide you through the nonsense ♥
Allyship
I'm an activist at heart and have always worked to platform LGBTQ+ people when they have not been allowed to use their own voices. In my former life, I was a teacher and led an LGBTQ+ Activism Club for young people to learn about our unspoken history, trailblazers, and struggles across the world today, as well as advocating for LGBTQ+ youth when they experienced discrimination in the school setting. I champion LGBTQ+ stories, suppliers, and visibility - and although I am queer myself, I actively work (and will always work) to better understand, serve, and represent our queer community.
I ensure that the language that I use is inclusive, and I work to champion LGBTQ+ voices and stories on my social media platforms. I also share my adventures with my wife (Liv) and our sneaky dachshunds (Norman and Klaus), which I hope will help a little in normalising us talking openly about our lovely queer families. I hope that that this will make fellow LGBTQ+ people feel more comfortable and seen when planning their super special ceremonies, with a queer pal and cheerleader by their side.
don't forget to let me know that you found me on Rebel Love Directory!
