What do you offer?

As an anti-ai, anti-template wedding celebrant - I specialise in making ceremonies that are truly bespoke, authentic and soulful. Working with the people who love them most, I craft ceremonies that people will remember for a lifetime.

Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?

I want to work with the LGBTQIA+ community because nothing brings me more joy than celebrating the love we get to share openly, even in the face of adversity. There is no community quite like it, the way we find beautiful new paths to joyful resistance.

As a queer person who has been hosting LGBTQIA+ events for a long time, I also understand what diversity and inclusion really looks like in practice. It's not always easy or cute, but queer couples deserve to have a ceremony where their vendors not only have their back, but can encourage them to show up, out and enjoy their big day to the fullest.

Allyship

In my community, I try to be active through my work in events by assisting people with fundraisers through organising, donating artwork, performing, hosting or just generally being on hand. I dedicate time into showing up for the community not only at LGBTQIA+ marches, but by bringing those conversations into other organisations I volunteer with such as Abortion Rights UK and SHOUT.

As I am at the beginning of my celebrant journey, I am still working very hard to organise shoots that include members of the LGBTQIA+ community, in which I can assure they are paid for their work. I believe representation is incredibly important, but in this economy, especially, so is proper payment. I plan to offer a discounted rate to members of the LGBTQIA+ community for my services, as I understand and empathise with the extra costs we often incur trying to access services in an industry that does not centre us. So far, I have commissioned queer artists to build some new branding for me who will be credited and promoted via my social media channels and website. I am building a list of other queer vendors who I will champion and hope we can support each other in our journeys.
