What do you offer?

Every wedding is different, it’s not a one size fits all and so each wedding design is bespoke to the couple we am working with. During our initial consultation we will have an informal chat to find out what you love and be introduced to your story.

All really important elements to help us curate your mood board for your wedding day. We work together to create the wedding you have always dreamed of. I work quite seasonally choosing the ingredients that will be best in bloom around the time of your wedding. I find so much joy curating colour palettes and ingredients that I feel tell each individual couples story. Here at Bohotany we flower with feeling otherwise what’s the point?

Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?

It’s so important to create a safe space where LGBTQ+ people know they will be received without fear of judgement. Every couple deserves to be seen and heard and celebrated especially on their wedding day. Here at Bohotany we just want to provide gorgeous flowers that help create the most beautiful day of your story together.

Allyship

Where do I start, as someone who is part of the community I try and show up as best as I can to be an ally and use my voice where I feel it is needed. I think this starts at home, I am constantly educating family and friends about their language and having discussions around sensitive topics that they would never even realise is an issue. I have never shied away from using my voice on social media when it comes to calling out injustices and will continue to do so.

Outside of my personal life and through my business I try to be as inclusive as possible with my language when building mood boards and quotes for my couples and always re evaluating how we can do better as a business. My portfolio could definitely be more diverse, I am slowly building on this and I am proud to be flowering some beautiful LGBTQ+ weddings in the near future including my own!
