What do you offer?
I make wedding flowers for the untamed romantics - you know, the people who want something gorgeous but not too serious or stuffy - think relaxed, romantic vibes with heaps of personality. My style is all about that just-picked, whimsical look - relaxed, romantic, and full of gorgeous British-grown flowers, thanks to the amazing local flower farmers I’m so proud to support.
Everything I create is rooted in my eco-conscious ethos: no floral foam, no single-use plastic - just gorgeous, sustainable flowers arranged with reusable mechanics, a mindful approach, and a whole heap of love. But it’s not just the planet I care about - I care deeply about the people I work with, too. From our first chat to the big day itself, I’m here to make your wedding planning feel fun, easy, and entirely you. Thoughtful design, a relaxed process, and a genuinely personal experience are all part of the journey - because your flowers should feel as good as they look.
Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?
Too often, LGBTQ+ couples have to plan their weddings while navigating barriers, prejudice, or uncertainty about acceptance. I want to be a part of changing that - creating a space where every couple can feel safe, confident, and free to celebrate their love exactly as they are. For me, it’s not just about being welcoming, it’s about actively championing inclusivity and ensuring that every wedding is a joyful reflection of the couple’s true selves.
Allyship
I’ve built my business to be non-presumptuous and inclusive. That means I don’t assume anything about my couples - their pronouns, sexual orientations, ethnic or religious backgrounds, or who will (or won't) be in their wedding party.
I always ask for pronouns, ask who is in the wedding party and avoid using terms like “his/hers” or “bride/groom”, and instead, simply offer different flower options for whoever may want them.
I’ve had the joy of delivering beautiful flowers for LGBTQ+ weddings and styled shoots, sharing these on social media to help inspire the community and improve representation.
I'm very conscious of how I mark Pride month, avoiding using it to simply showcase my work in a bid to try and prove my allyship. Instead, I focus on sharing actual information and resources that will either help educate my followers or that will support the LGBTQ+ community, e.g. highlighting amazing offers such as Giraffe Shed’s reduced-rate weddings for LGBTQ+ lovers. While I live in a rural area and therefore haven’t had many chances to attend marches or protests, I stay active by signing and promoting online petitions, most recently those supporting trans rights. For me, being an active ally is about listening, learning, and doing what I can - whether that’s in my business or personal life - to help create a more inclusive world.
I have a few images from an LGBTQ+ wedding and an LGBTQ+ styled shoot (done properly, with genuine LGBTQ+ couples who were paid fairly), that I have shared onto my IG page, and I have also integrated them into the body of work shown on my website and within my wedding guide (which gets sent out to all enquiring couples). There is an inclusivity statement on my website and within my wedding guide, letting people know that they are safe with me and very much welcome. I am aware that the range of diversity within the weddings and shoots I have been a part of is not great, so I'm looking to arrange my own LGBTQ+ shoot to increase the amount of diversity shown within my portfolio.
