Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?
80% of LGBTQ+ people travelling cite “safety” as being their number one consideration when travelling. It is a privilege to help couples find this safety alongside a sense of adventure when exploring the world.
Allyship
I have attended LGBTQ+ supplier training sessions to identify suppliers who are allies, and understand the considerations of travellers in the LGBTQ+ community. For example, did you know United Airlines were the first to offer non-binary gender booking options? It’s learnings like that that make me a place of safety and able to select the best possible options for my clients, with their own personal needs taken into consideration.
I’m also educated on world events to understand where NOT to suggest (Trump, I’m looking at you).
