What do you offer?
I specialise in capturing queer weddings with a distinctive editorial style and effortless professionalism. I vow to ensure every couple feels safe, seen, and celebrated when they're in front of my lens.
Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I’ve seen first-hand the hurdles and discrimination queer people still face in everyday life. That’s why I’m deeply committed to creating spaces where we’re not just included, but genuinely celebrated. For me, LGBTQ+ marriage is a form of activism in itself. It’s a powerful declaration of love and visibility in a space where, for a long time, we were told we didn’t belong. My work with Pride organisations and charities has always focused on visibility and empowerment; values I carry into everything I do. Rather than being “queer-friendly”, I want to flip that narrative to truly show up for people like me, proudly and intentionally. When I document a wedding, I’m not just telling your story, I’m helping to reclaim our shared history. Every image becomes a testament to the love, resilience, and joy that define our community and us as humans.
Allyship
Being an ally to the LGBTQ+ community isn’t something I’ve had to consciously add into my work. It’s always just been part of who I am and how I operate.
From day one, I’ve made it a priority to use inclusive, non-gendered language, to respect people’s pronouns, chosen names, and titles, and to always honour personal boundaries. If someone isn’t out, I follow their lead and never push; their comfort and safety come first, always.
I’m also very aware of my privilege as a white, cis gay man. While I’m still part of a marginalised community, I know I hold a certain level of privilege, and I try to use that to make a difference; whether that’s calling out injustice, using my platform to create safer spaces, or uplifting and providing opportunities for others whenever I can. I’m lucky to have a wonderfully diverse group of friends and peers from all walks of life, and I’m constantly learning from them. Those lessons shape the way I run my business, so every decision, every shoot, and every interaction is grounded in making sure everyone feels represented and celebrated in my presence.
From the very beginning of my business, I’ve primarily worked with the LGBTQ+ community. Even back in school, I noticed how little queer representation there was, and I knew I wanted to change that in any way I could. I often joke that I run a “straight-friendly” business: I’m happy to work with everyone, but queer faces and stories will always be at the forefront of what I do. If there’s an opportunity to give work to someone, I’ll always try to give it to someone queer. If I’m buying a product or service, I’ll always try to buy queer.
Beyond photography, I work with pride organisations and run LGBTQ+ fringe festivals and curated exhibitions that celebrate queer stories which have been displayed at numerous events and discussions in schools.
