What do you offer?
Wedding Photography for Awesome People. I show up for the camera-shy, the gloriously geeky and the beautifully queer. Get married. Geek out. Be You. (And if you can't be you, be Batman...)
Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?
I'm a gay man, and it gives me such joy to be there at an LGBTQ+ wedding - because I know how many people have found it so difficult to stand up in front of friends and family and publicly declare their love for another person. It's why I became a wedding photographer - the power and joy of that moment, after people have gone on such a journey to get there, it's incredible. They say do what makes you happy, and being part of this journey makes me fundamentally happy.
Allyship
I've chaired LGBTQ+ Staff networks and organised the first participation of the Civil Service at Pride in London, as well as taken official parade photographs.
I volunteer my photography for LGBTQ+ Birmingham and support other queer businesses through regular networking and community events that showcase the West Midlands' vibrant LGBTQ+ creative industry. I have photographed community events to protest against the closure of LGBTQ+ Spaces, and taken part in vigils in London and Birmingham. Separately, I run a charity that donates family photography to families with children with life-limiting illnesses - something that brings me great joy and comfort.
LGBTQ+ representation is very much front and centre of my business. My aim is to make queer couples feel seen and celebrated - they are on the front page of my website, they run through my wedding guides and my news pages. My aim is to make my website a source of inspiration and advice for LGBTQ+ couples and others who want to feel seen one of the most important days of their lives.
don't forget to let me know that you found me on Rebel Love Directory!
