Two people in suits are smiling. One is facing towards the camera, with their eyes closed, and the other is kissing that person on the cheek and holding their face with one hand.

What do you offer?

I offer natural, unposed wedding photography that captures genuine moments and the unique love stories of every couple. My goal is to create a relaxed, inclusive environment where you can celebrate your day authentically and feel supported every step of the way.

Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?

I want to work with the LGBTQ+ community because I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, celebrated and supported, especially during some of the most important moments of their lives. As someone who has personally navigated my own journey of self-discovery and acceptance, I understand how vital it is to have spaces and people who genuinely embrace and affirm all aspects of your identity.

In photography, I see a powerful opportunity to not only capture love but to tell stories authentically - stories that may have been overlooked or misunderstood in the past. By working with the LGBTQ+ community, I aim to provide a safe and inclusive space where couples can express themselves freely and know they will be celebrated exactly as they are.

Representation matters and being part of a couple’s love story is a responsibility I don’t take lightly. For me, it’s about more than just taking photos; it’s about honouring the joy, courage, and individuality of every relationship. I want my work to contribute to a world where everyone feels their love is valued and beautiful.

Allyship

As both a photographer and a midwife, being an active ally to the LGBTQ+ community is deeply embedded in everything I do. In my midwifery career, I’ve implemented inclusive practices by ensuring correct pronoun use, creating a welcoming environment for all birthing individuals, and educating colleagues within a predominately female workforce about the diverse experiences of LGBTQ+ parents - including supporting trans men and non-binary individuals through pregnancy and birth.

I am also currently designing a painting mural for the entrance to my ward which has included representation for LGBTQ+ couples in its design.

These principles of inclusivity and respect carry into my photography business, where I prioritise understanding and celebrating each couple’s unique story. Whether capturing LGBTQ+ weddings or educating others in maternity care, I’m passionate about breaking down barriers, fostering understanding and creating spaces where everyone feels seen, valued and celebrated for who they are.

Living and working in Lincolnshire, a county that lacks significant diversity and often faces barriers to inclusivity, has only strengthened my determination to make a positive impact.

I’ve taken steps to improve representation by organising an LGBTQ+ styled wedding shoot and showcasing my photography at the All in Love LGBTQ+ Wedding Fayre - the first event of its kind in the county. These initiatives have allowed me to celebrate and support love in all its forms while demonstrating that inclusivity is possible, even in less diverse areas. For me, being an ally is about love, respect and constant learning to ensure I’m always providing the best support I can.

In my photography business, I actively work to ensure LGBTQ+ people feel represented and included by providing a welcoming and affirming environment for all couples. I prioritise inclusive language in my communication, such as using correct pronouns and avoiding gendered assumptions about relationships or roles. My portfolio and marketing materials showcase diverse love stories to reflect the beauty of LGBTQ+ relationships and demonstrate my commitment to inclusivity. Imagery I select to use at Wedding Fairs and via social media platforms also shows equal representation of a range of people. I have also attended an inclusive wedding supplier course with a supplier local to my area.
