Löv Leaf Weddings is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all couples and lovers, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. They prioritise inclusivity in their language, marketing materials and interactions with clients. Additionally, they have implemented specific initiatives to support LGBTQ+ couples, such as updating contracts for confidentiality and privacy, using gender-neutral language and collaborating solely with inclusive suppliers.

The team actively incorporates diversity and representation in their marketing materials and imagery. They feature a variety of couples, lovers, and wedding styles to ensure that all love stories are reflected in their work.

Löv Leaf is levels apart from the competition

Löv Leaf Weddings sets itself apart from other wedding décor companies through a true passion for both the people and the planet.

Not only is Löv Leaf’s offering completely unique; they also invite their customers to visit their plant shop in Hereford for a consultation, proving just how friendly and personable they are.

Steph said: “Our shop is filled with vibrant, leafy greenery and is a reflection of our ethos—celebrating inclusivity all year round. It’s a space where lovers can feel comfortable and inspired, and we’ve found that meeting in person helps us build stronger, more personal connections with them. We strive to create a welcoming environment where everyone, regardless of identity or background, feels safe, supported, and celebrated from start to finish.”

Making an impact on the wedding industry

While Löv Leaf Weddings has not faced major obstacles in promoting inclusivity, the team understands the potential challenges within the wedding industry. They remain committed to educating themselves and advocating for a more inclusive environment.

Through its commitment, Löv Leaf Weddings is making a positive impact on the wedding industry by showcasing diverse people, creating inclusive spaces, and promoting sustainability.

Advice for other LGBTQ+ wedding suppliers

We asked Steph what her advise to other wedding suppliers would be and she said:

“Be open, listen, and make no assumptions. Every couple or group of lovers is different, and the best way to provide a truly inclusive service is by respecting their individuality. Use gender-neutral language in your communications and ensure that your marketing represents diverse lovers. Inclusivity is about creating a safe space where everyone feels welcomed, so don’t be afraid to challenge traditional norms and embrace diversity in all its forms.”

A smiling woman, Steph, stands in front of a wooden arch adorned with lush greenery and hanging plants, set within a bright yellow tipi-style tent. She is wearing a casual olive-green t-shirt and blue jeans, holding a clipboard in one hand. The background features additional plants, a green leather armchair, and a woven rug on the floor, creating a natural, inviting atmosphere.

Here’s what Steph had to say about working in the wedding industry and with LGBTQ+ lovers:

“Weddings are all about celebrating love, and with LGBTQ+ people, the joy and authenticity feel even more profound. There’s a unique vibrancy when lovers get to fully express themselves, and it’s such a privilege to be a part of that.”

She shared, “one of the things we truly love is when people find us and realise they can have plants instead of traditional flowers. So many people didn’t even know that was an option, and they’re often so grateful to have discovered something sustainable, unique, and personal. It’s incredibly rewarding to fill this gap in the wedding industry by offering décor that’s reusable and eco-friendly, while still being stunning and creative. We love adding personal touches, whether it’s incorporating the couple’s colour scheme through drapes, ribbons and pots or adding fun elements like fairy lights and candles to tie their entire theme together.”

“The incredible feedback we get from couples just cements why we love what we do and why we continue to bring this plant-filled magic to weddings over and over again.”

Vibe check!

We asked Steph a few quick-fire questions to get a feel of her personality and a bit of a vibe check!

Describe your dream wedding (real or imaginary) in three words.

“Lush, relaxed, vibrant.”

What's your favourite part of the wedding day?

“Our favourite part is when they [the couple or lovers] see the venue for the first time – that moment of excitement and joy when they walk into the space and realise their vision has come to life. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing that joy on their faces.”

If you weren't in the wedding industry, what do you think you'd be doing instead?

“We’d still be working with plants, perhaps focusing full-time on our plant shop and designing lush, green spaces for interiors. We’re passionate about plants and their ability to transform spaces.”

Finally, share a fun fact about yourself or your business that most people wouldn't know

“The name Löv Leaf has a special meaning – Löv means "leaf" in Swedish, and being half Swedish, I wanted to incorporate something from my heritage into the business name, so technically we are called Leaf Leaf!”
