What do you offer?

I craft weddings, civil partnerships, celebrations of life, and (re)naming ceremonies that are wickedly funny, stuffed-full-of-love, and totally 'you'. Every ceremony is 100% unique, weaving together your stories, in-jokes, and gorgeous quirks.

Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?

I want to work with the LGBTQ+ community because I'm a card-carrying member! As a big ol' dyke, being a celebrant for queer people is truly what makes me love my job so deeply. I became a celebrant because two close friends were struggling to find a queer person to do the job and I've never looked back. Serving my community by honouring our love, our stories and our identities is the greatest privilege of my life.

Allyship

When I'm getting to know my couples or clients, I am extremely sensitive about the language that gives them the ick and language that feels wonderful – I never assume gender, pronouns, sexualities, or chosen terms like "bride" and "groom". I work hard to keep educating myself by reading literature, watching documentaries, and following creators from across our community. I make a monthly donation to Galop, the UK's only LGBTQ+ anti-abuse charity, and I've worked pro-bono for them as a fundraising consultant (my other job on the side!) to help them launch a conversion therapy helpline.

don't forget to let me know that you found me on Rebel Love Directory!
