What do you offer?

I want to help people embrace everything silly and wonderful about themselves. I want to help them embrace everything they love in the most caring way to create fun, inclusive, meaningful ceremonies.

Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?

I am an LGBTQ+ inclusive humanist celebrant. I am a loud and proud, fabulously gay celebrant. My aim is to create bespoke wedding ceremonies for couples that tell their love story in their own way. I want to help my couples feel comfortable to fully embrace who they are, and have their ceremony filled to the brim with everything that makes them them as individuals and them as a couple—everything you love all wrapped up into a lovely, jubbly, meaningful, fun ceremony. Fun, eclectic, meaningful, and funky ceremony—I will fangirl and support you all the way.

My work and social circles have always consisted of wonderful people from all varieties of the LGBTQ+ community. I am passionate about LGBTQ+ rights, and I have done various fundraising work for Birmingham LGBTQ+ and Mermaids.

I am a regular at local gay events and gay prides all over the country. I know the hardships many are still facing due to non-accepting families and societies. I know too well the unfair treatment many people (including my friends and family members) have had to deal with on a day-to-day basis due to their sexualities or gender identities and how governments all over the world are failing their citizens when it comes to LGBTQ+ rights. I know the heart-breaking truth about how people in the community are still being made to feel by non-supporters. Well, not with me! I am all about encouraging people to be their true authentic selves, and I believe that everyone should have the same rights no matter their sexuality, gender, ethnicity, etc. (which is what Humanist UK supports too—who I'm accredited with).

Your wedding day is to celebrate you and your partner and all the wonderful, beautiful, crazy, funny, cute, silly, and eclectic things that make you the people you are and the couple you are, and I will be your biggest fan girl!

Whether your wedding day has your family, your chosen family, or both, your day is about the two of you, and being LGBTQ+ doesn't mean it should be any less personal, bespoke, or beautifully creative and meaningful.

My ceremonies are tailored to each individual couple, and my documents and files to create your ceremony with you are all gender neutral or have pronoun preferences with editing options. I will do everything I can to make you feel comfortable and relaxed before your big day!

Allyship

In my work: All my documents I send to clients are LGBTQ+ inclusive. My files I send to clients to fill out have pronoun options and are all gender neutral. My Anthology of poems are LGBTQ+ inclusive with the option of editing to fit each couples individual preferences. My branding is aimed at both LGBTQ+ and Hetero couples. My socials posts are all gender neutral or using she/her/him/he/they/them pronouns. My website and socials state I am Gay/lesbian and that I am LGBTQ+ inclusive. My socials posts and bio include gay flags and rainbows and LGBTQ+ hashtags. I regularly Post same sex couples photos on my socials.

I am accredited by Humanist UK - humanists are big supporters of gay rights and were a big voice in the legalisation of gay marriage. They still do a lot of work for gay rights among many other things and I am required to do CPD on humanism as part of my accreditation which is including, but not solely, keeping up to date with humanism such as following the work of the patrons such as Sandi Toksvig and Steven Fry.

In my everyday life I am actively keeping myself up to date with LGBTQ+ terminology, news and gay history through books, following gay information pages on socials and attending gay social events regularly. I have done many charity fundraisers for LGBTQ+ charities including Mermaids and Birmingham LGBTQ+ through my other jobs.

don't forget to let me know that you found me on Rebel Love Directory!
