What do you offer?

Natural, modern and candid is how I would describe my approach to wedding photography. I love to get to know my clients before the big day to make sure they're super comfortable in front of the camera and I'll pop up all over the place at weddings to grab all the fun unscripted moments rather than awkward posing.

I include an engagement shoot with every full day booking to get to know you better & ease the wedding day nerves!

Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community?

For me it's a case of wanting to ensure that LGBTQ+ people feel comfortable and safe & be able to be themselves when they're celebrating their love. We shouldn't really have to have an LGBTQ+ wedding supplier directory but the sad fact is that we do need it!

Allyship

Aside from identifying as Lesbian - Lisa and I get married in July 2024! - I'm just generally passionate about inclusivity. I came out back in 2007 and I've loved seeing how the world has become more accepting but at the same time there's such a long way to go.

I co-own a vintage shop in Nottingham with Lisa and we've aimed to make it a safe space for everyone - we don't label clothing by gender, we stock a full range of sizes & we painted a huge pride flag on the ceiling to celebrate pride as I still don't like the idea that local businesses stick flags to their windows for one day of the year and think that supports the community. The painted mural serves as an indicator that the shop is a safe space and people love it! We love how we welcome a more diverse range of customers into the shop now, as vintage stores can sometimes be seen as a little pretentious.

Aside from the vintage shop, I've been a part of the wedding industry since Aug 2023 and I can see that representation needs a lot of work. I'm currently in the early stages of organising a styled shoot with a trans celebrity woman & I'm on a mission to find suppliers that are truly inclusive to work with me on the shoot too. We'll aim to get it featured on a blog because the community need to see more representation in these spaces.

don't forget to let me know that you found me on Rebel Love Directory!
