What do you offer?

As a trained and insured wedding officiant, I create and perform ceremonies in and around Newcastle on Tyne. I am an independent Civil Celebrant, with the freedom to host weddings in outdoor settings (including the beach and our gorge north east coastline) and unlicensed venues (think cafes, clubs, theatres, your Nan's house)

Why do you want to work with the LGBTQ+ community? 

I'm for the queers and their peers, the creatives and weirdos. A big part of my queerness means softly embracing the unconventional, and not feeling that you have to conform to be accepted and palatable to the people around us. I specialise in modern ceremonies for people that want to celebrate their L O V E first and foremost, selecting ritual and tradition that make their hearts swell.. wear what you dream of, invite your most special people, and weave in the precious values that make you you.

Allyship

I regularly support local events and queer owned businesses, eg Curious Arts Fundraisers. I follow a number of LGBTQ+ activists online to understand different perspectives of the many many corners of the community - and take note of where issues of gender, disability and race intersect with sexualities and gender identity. Language matters - I consider the words I use in my online marketing, business documentation and conversation so not to assume gender or relationship status.
